Hi {firstname},

Can you believe it? It's your last staff newsletter of 2021!
Although the University is in its last full week of teaching, our services are still going strong, and students still need us as much as ever. Thank you for your continuing hard work throughout the year, and your motivation as we lead up to our much deserved Winter holidays.

So, without any further ado, all that's left to say is have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us here at UCLan Students' Union!

Staff Day and Agenda

All staff are expected to attend the Staff Briefing unless you have pre-booked annual leave. For everyone's safety, the following measures will be in place:

All staff should undertake a lateral flow test on Friday morning and should NOT attend if the test is positive.
Face coverings must be worn at all times, except by those that are exempt or whilst presenting.
Windows will be kept ajar to maintain effective airflow through the room.
Hand sanitiser will be available for people to use.

Diversity Survey

Have you completed our Diversity Survey yet? It's super important that we get as many responses as possible, so we know where we're at, and what areas we need to improve!

It takes 5 minutes to complete, and includes: Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement.

Covid Reminder

In line with Government guidance, all students and staff are expected to take a Covid-19 lateral flow test twice weekly. This is to help keep you and those around you as safe as possible.

Who is your Staff Star?

The Holiday season can only mean one thing...Our Union Awards are back! Show your appreciation for someone who has been amazing this year, and nominate them for one of our Star Awards!
Nominate your Union Star for 2021 here!
Nominations deadline is 5pm 13th December.

Hospice Christmas Cards

Thanks to everyone who has already either filled out a charity card or created their own designs! We want to make sure that every child in the hospice receives a card, so if you haven't already- there's plenty of cards in the staff room to write a nice festive message in.

If you're not sure what to write, Krupa has a seemingly endless supply of bad cracker jokes- sure to put a smile on the face of Scrooge himself!

Festive Offices

The Students' Union offices are getting in the Christmas spirit!
Whilst we're not sure anything can beat Alex's hand drawn Christmas Tree in the comms office, there's plenty of competition around!
Finance have an incredible winter wonderland, and even the Welcome Point is ready for the festive season! It's great to see everyone showcasing their decorating skills, and getting crafty and creative!
