My name is Vedant Mishra and I am presently in my first year studying BSc Astrophysics. One of the main reasons I have applied to be the Vice Chair is because I am extremely passionate about dramatics and organizing social events. I have previously been the Head of the Drama Society at school and have also studied Dramatics as a subject.
My main aims:
- To organise social events where everyone can meet people from different cultures and interact and create a fantastic atmosphere. I intend to keep up the regular events ran by this year’s society which I feel have worked really well. In order to keep people up to date, I will use social media and create regular event pages.
- I would try and make sure that every member of the society has a say in the events that are held. If I got this position, I would always be happy to hear any suggestions members may have or views on things that we have done. This is because I feel it’s important that all members get a say in the events that are run.
- I would like to build good relationships with different societies in order to be able to put on a range of different events. One of my main aims would be to engage with other societies and have more joint events. This gives members a wider choice of events to choose from and the opportunity to meet new people and socialise!
