Candidate for the position of EMpulse Society - Vice Chair

Nomvula Reabetswe Ramoroto

Hi! I’m Nomvula, a second-year MBBS student all the from South Africa. I would be so honoured to be given the opportunity to serve as EMpulse’s vice chair for the 24/25. I share a profound passion for emergency medicine and with EMpulse it has become a space for me to expand my appreciation on the topic. With the role of vice-chair, I would hopefully want to share the sentiment with other students.

As one of EMpulse's current Phase 2 representatives, I have gained extensive insight into how the society works. This role allowed me to hone transferrable skills such as organization, team working skills, and creativity. This opportunity allowed me to share the space and work alongside like-minded peers and share our love for emergency medicine. Furthermore, I carry an enthusiastic perspective and great problem-solving skills which I believe would be greatly suited for the vice-chair.

Furthermore being a part of the EMpulse community, I have managed to identify spots of improvement that would benefit the society. As vice-chair, I would wish to introduce more opportunities for interactions in our society, as well as improve our social media presence to gain exposure to more potential members and yet build a community with our current ones. As well as keeping EMpulse traditions of hosting the 5th annual emergency medical conference and providing question banks for phase 1 years.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Nomvula xx
