Hello Everyone,
My name is Vedant Mishra, and I am currently in my first year studying BSc Astrophysics.
I have applied to be the Chair of this committee because I am extremely passionate about Japan and the Japanese culture. I hope to be able to represent the openness and beauty of Japanese culture and give Japanese student a society where they feel represented and have a home away from home.
My main aims would be:
- To organize social events where Japanese student feel like they have a second home.
- ?I intend to keep up the regular events ran by this year’s society which were very welcoming to all Students. To keep people up to date, I will use social media and create regular event pages, so Everyone always knows what is going on.
- I would try to make sure that every member of the society has a say in the events that we put up. If I get this position, I would always be happy to hear any suggestions and feedback people may have.
- I would also like to build good relationships with different societies to be able to put on a range of different events. One of my main aims would be to engage with other societies and have more joint events. This not only gives members a wider choice of events to choose from but also the opportunity to meet new people and socialize.
