I’m Saiha and I’m running for iSoc Social Secretary. I envision our Islamic Society as an inviting and inclusive community, creating unity through a supportive environment where we can strengthen our faith and build meaningful, lasting friendships.
Having served as the Social Secretary for the Palestine Society last year, I have experience in organising events, encouraging inclusivity and engaging with diverse communities which I can carry over to the Islamic Society, In Sha Allah.
I was an avid volunteer of the Islamic Society and also collaborated closely with its members while on the Palestine Society committee. I understand the importance of collaboration and communication, and I am committed to working with members to ensure events run smoothly.
One of my primary goals as Social Secretary is to create a sense of sisterhood within the Islamic Society. I believe that good company is the basis of strong iman, and we can empower each other to thrive spiritually and personally.
Finally, in line with our faith, I’m committed to welcoming all members of our community, regardless of background or belief, providing them with opportunities to observe and interact with our religion in a comfortable atmosphere. In a time where the media often misrepresents Islam, let's showcase its true beauty through genuine actions.
