For as long as I can remember dance has been my passion and escapism when I’ve needed it. Going into my final year of University and dance, I want to be able to enjoy these final moments with the Dance team where I have formed so many great friendships. Whilst I could promise endless goals and focus on different narratives that I can’t effectively change, I’d rather focus on what I find most important. I want to create a safe atmosphere and environment at dance for new and existing members to grow and develop their talents, instilling passion through the experience I have had over the past year and prior to this. Allowing people to have this safe space away from other demanding parts of Uni life is one of my main goals developing from this year with an aim of encouraging people to have fun whilst exploring their creativity and providing an escape from other aspects of life.
Other than this, I want to build on the fundraising opportunities developed in the past, which is a great passion of mine. But overall, I want to be a central team member who people can rely on and speak to at any time. In the future I want to be able to look back on my dance experience and see it ended in a high. I envision this working within the committee already elected who encompass many of the same passions and projects I would love to work within.
