Join us in celebrating the coming birth of Jesus Christ! We will provide a roast christmas dinner, prayer, games, karaoke and an optional gift exchange. Message or email us if you are coming for dinner. Bring your friends and share the joy!
Catholic Society invites you to our Christmas Dinner Party!
We will have a Christmas roast dinner. (Chicken/ vegetarian option, vegetables, yorkshire pudding, gravy, mash potaotes and more...) Let us know if you have any dietary needs or have any suggestions for the menu. If you'd like to bring any food/dessert/drinks to share you are very welcome to! Sharing is caring <3
As this Christmas season is all about celebrating the coming of Jesus Christ, we will have prayer and reflection to focus our hearts and minds on our reason for the seaon. Everyone is welcome to join and partcicipate if you feel like doing so.
For social time we will have organised games and karaoke. (What's your go-to song?) It will be a great time to make new friends and bond with other students in UCLan.
To help our society cover the cost of food and drinks, we kindly ask you purchase our £5 ticket for this event. Feel free to wear a christmas jumper or dress in christmassy colours (red, green, gold etc.).
Every Wednesday evening, the Catholic Society comes together for faith, fellowship, and prayer. We discuss topics like the Church's social teachings, explore Bible readings, and share personal experiences. Prayer brings us together leading into our discussion topic of the day.
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" (Psalm 119:105)
This term, we're planning some Bible Study sessions sometimes coupled with lectio divina ( 'divine reading' - a guided meditation on the Word). Join us as we delve deeper into the Bible and spend meaningful time with the Lord.
Discover everything CathSoc has to offer by following @uclancathsoc on Instagram. Beyond our weekly gatherings, we will have retreats and hear from inspiring Catholic speakers. Furthermore, join our wider community to engage with other Catholic young adults in Preston.
Please note that we don't meet during Achievement Week
God bless you and we cannot wait to welcome you!
