Mental health is one of the biggest issues affecting students today, especially with everything going on in the world. Many of us are concerned about our friends and it can feel pretty hopeless when you are watching someone struggling and don’t know what to do.

Report and Support is a great tool to help with this. You can anonymously report your friends (don’t worry, ‘report’ isn’t a bad thing in this case!) to Student Services for a range of issues, including mental health. They will then be known to Student Services, and will be offered help.

This can be really helpful if someone is struggling, and may encourage them to speak up where they might normally not ask for help.

You can make a report at https://reportandsupport.uclan.ac.uk/. There are a range of topics to chose from, including sexual harassment, bullying, discrimination, mental health, hate crime, domestic abuse, addiction and more.

Report and Support is easy to use- it takes just 5 minutes to fill in a report. There’s also really useful tips and advice on how you can support a friend.

We all have to look out for each other, especially in these hard times.
