We are a team of students at the UCLAN School of Medicine. We are here to support your passion for medicine and easy transition to practice in the UK and abroad!
Why are we doing this? We are new students from overseas, excited to learn about medicine and how to prepare for opportunities in practice both in the UK and abroad. Like you, we aspire to be top medical practitioners in surgery, radiology, general practice, dermatology, and other medical specialties. We offer help for your transition into university, supporting you as you form relationships with fellow students in your program and from other countries like Canada. What do we do? We are here to help you with your transition into the School of Medicine at the University of Central Lancashire. Our page will provide tips and information for new students to help them learn and embrace the lovely city of Preston. We run a blog to keep you informed about city events, program updates, and opportunities and events the UCLan community offers. Our society exists to facilitate your easy transition into a career in medicine, and provide you with information on the latest happenings, webinars and opportunities elsewhere in the UK and abroad. How do we plan to do this? We will have regular meetings to discuss effective dissemination of information and keep tabs on clubs and groups. We hope to provide information, resources and support to all who are passionate about medicine at UCLan and abroad through engagement in social media platforms and in-person events.
