Watch out Hollywood, the real awards season is about to hit UCLan with the Annual Golden Roses Student Lead Teaching Awards.
Each year, we ask students to nominate UCLan Staff members for several awards to celebrate the hard work of staff, as well as helping us to understand what a quality student experience at UCLan looks like from the students’ perspective.
Our Westlakes Golden Roses offers students the opportunity to nominate their favourite staff members for 3 awards!
If a lecturer has been “defying gravity”—nominate them. If a department has been “simply the best”—nominate them. If someone has been giving "brat"—nominate them because we want to know!
The Westlakes Golden Roses nominations are OPEN NOW and close at 5pm on February 10th.
We will be hosting our Westlakes Campus Golden Roses with the following Award Categories:
- Westlakes Lecturer of the Year - Nominations will also be combined with the UCLan Golden Roses Lecturer of the Year award.
- Westlakes Wonder Award - Nominations will also be combined with the UCLan Golden Roses in the Supporting the Student Experience Award if non-teaching nomination or the Academic Support award for teaching staff.
- Westlakes Student Voice Award- Nominations will also be combined with the UCLan Golden Roses in the Student Voice Award.
The Westlakes Golden Roses nominations are OPEN NOW and close at 5pm on February 10th. The Westlakes Awards will be presented with a lovely lunchtime awards ceremony in Westlakes on April 24th. We hope to have the shortlist announced shortly after the nomination close date.
